Ford Second Auto Maker Producing All Electric Car

Ford is only the second major automaker to begin selling a purely electric vehicle in a mass-market. They will send 2012 Focus Electric cars to dealership lots later this year. It's a huge step for one of the largest American auto makers, and they feel it will pay off in the long run.

Ford Freestar Ranked Most Reliable Minivan in 2010

The Ford Freestar is named, the most dependable minivan in J.D. Power and Associates' recent 2010 Vehicle Dependability Study.

The U.S. made minivan scored perfectly in all four categories in which the vehicles are judged (over the first three years of ownership): Overall Dependability, Powertrain Dependability, Body and Interior Dependability, and Feature and Accessory Dependability. Suzuki Launching 7 New Models

Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest auto maker, plans to launch at least seven models in the next 3 years, as it bids to regain the market from rival car companies. Some of these models could make their way over to the United States.

The small car maker is looking to expand into other segments with larger sedans, utility vehicles and small SUVs. "There are a lot of plans in the pipeline," said M.M. Singh, managing executive officer, production and supply, Maruti. "At present, we are trying to squeeze out whatever we can from the current capacity."
